The Delta Controls EnOcean Wireless Solution integrates EnOcean-technology based wireless devices from multiple vendors into the Delta building automation system.EnOcean GmbH is the originator of patented wireless technology that is self-powered by energy harvesting. EnOcean technology allows fast development and marketing of new wireless solutions in building services, industry and other sectors. Standardized device profiles make for interoperability of the resulting products. EnOcean Alliance members and other companies create products that incorporate EnOcean technology.The EnOcean wireless signal uses the 315 MHz, 868 MHz and 902 MHz frequency bands making it suitable for worldwide use. Devices with 315 MHz frequency or 902 MHz frequency are suitable for North America and other countries adopting the FCC specification. Devices with 868 MHz frequency are suitable for Europe and other countries adopting the R&TTE specification. The transmissions are brief and compact and are transmitted in random intervals which reduces the chance of data collisions therefore increasing reliability. Even with lower power than conventional wireless systems EnOcean products can communicate up to 30m indoors and up to 300m outdoors.

Solution Components
The Delta Controls EnOcean Wireless Solution uses customized controller firmware and a wireless to RS485 gateway to bring wireless data from EnOcean-technology based devices into the BACnet system. The wireless data is recognized as either inputs, outputs or variables for maximum system flexibility.The Delta Controls EnOcean Wireless Solution system components include:

• Delta enteliBUS, DSC or DAC controller with custom Gateway object and one or more Gateway Translation objects
• CON-ENOC EnOcean gateway to convert EnOcean wireless to RS-485
• EnOcean-technology based wireless devices from multiple vendors
