BACstat Network Thermostat: DNT-T103, DNT-H103B

The DNT-T103 is a BACstat with a local temperature sensor, display and keypad. It has 1 external input, and 3 TRIAC outputs that are controlled with built-in fixed algorithms. See the Application Guide for information on which applications this product is suitable for.Note that although this controller has algorithms for VAV & VVT, the newer DZNT-VAV is a much better alternative.The DNT-H103B includes a temperature-compensated humidity sensor.A UL864 UUKL Smoke Control System version of the DNT-T103 is available.

LINKnet Network Limits
The LINKnet network only allows a certain number of DNS stats or DFM field modules to be connected to a controller. These limits are summarized in the following table:Note: Placing DNT products on LINKnet is NOT recommended.

* These controllers support 12 DFMs in order to support the Access Control ADM hardware.

LINKnet Reserved AV Ranges
One of the LINKnet behaviours that is not commonly understood, is that a LINKnet device will “take-over” a range of Analog Variable (AV) objects in the parent controller (DSC or DAC). This is most obvious when connecting a DNS-24 to a DAC using LINKnet. The DNS-24 has objects inside of it that are mapped to AVs in the DAC automatically. For example, inside the DNS-24, AV6 is Day Setpoint. When connected to the DAC, this will be mapped to AV106, assuming the DNS is address 1. Now, if we were to try and use AV106 in the DAC for some other, unrelated, purpose, it wouldn’t work properly, because it would have two control sources.To generalize this, each LINKnet address takes over AV1-99. This table shows the possibilities:
