The enteliMESH wireless system extends Delta’s building automation system temperature and humidity sensing into specialized areas that are difficult to wire such as concrete and marble walls, atriums, foyers and auditoriums. Other wireless applications include spaces where the wall orientations change periodically such as tenant retrofitted areas.Also, the enteliMESH wireless sensor supports an external wired thermistor temperature probe to retrieve temperatures from hard-to-get-at places such as inside a cold storage box, environmental chamber or server rack, or from an outside loading dock.The enteliMESH wireless system components include:
- a wireless gateway in Delta Field Module format, the DFM-ZBEE;
- a wireless gateway expansion module for the enteliTOUCH;
- wireless, battery-powered temperature and humidity sensors, the WNS-TxxxB family; and
- a wireless network repeater, the eM-RPT, that you use to extend the wireless signal range and to avoid obstacles between the wireless sensors and the DFM-ZBEE or enteliTOUCH.
enteliMESH Architecture using a DFM-ZBEE Gateway
The DFM-ZBEE allows you to add sensors to an existing Delta building automation system without having to run additional wire. The DFM-ZBEE is a wireless gateway between the BACnet network and an enteliMESH wireless sensor network.
The DFM-ZBEE is used to set up the wireless network and to receive data from remote wireless sensors. The DFM-ZBEE delivers data to the BACnet network via a LINKnet network. Not shown in the illustration below but often used in an enteliMESH network is the eM-RPT wireless repeater.
enteliMESH Architecture using an enteliTOUCH as Wireless Gateway
The enteliTOUCH combined with the eTCH-EXP-ZBEE gateway expansion module is an alternative approach to add sensors to an existing Delta building automation system without having to run additional wire. The enteliTOUCH with the eTCH-EXP-ZBEE is a wireless gateway between the BACnet network and an enteliMESH wireless sensor network.
The enteliTOUCH is used to set up the wireless network and to receive data from remote wireless sensors. The enteliTOUCH delivers data to the BACnet network directly. Not shown in the illustration below but often used in an enteliMESH network is the eM-RPT wireless repeater.
