enteliBUS Backplane Expanders: eBX-08, eBX-04 Product Description

The enteliBUS Backplane Expander (eBX) provides I/O expansion to an Automation Engine.There are two models of Backplane Expanders : the eBX-04 which supports 4 I/O modules and the eBX-08 which supports 8 I/O modules.Multiple Backplane Expanders can be connected to and controlled by one Automation Engine. The eBX Rev 3.0 or higher improves the ambient temperature rating. The eBX Rev 3.0 or higher supports 16 bit resolution for eBMs with universal inputs. The eBX Rev 3.0 or higher must be matched with an eBCON/eBMGR with firmware 3.40R3.2 (493842) or higher, for the 16 bit inputs to function properly. If a Rev 3.0 eBX is connected to an eBCON/eBMGR with older firmware (408802 and down), the inputs on the eBX will only provide 12 bit resolution.
